The Counterstone of Advanced Hockey Development”
- This “Program of Excellence will run from mid-October 2015 to late March 2016
- What Separates this Academy from other Programs:
- This program is invite only so player content will be very high & will have 2 critical components: 1) On-ice Training with dedicated Instructors 2) Off-ice development for the player & parent.
- This 55 hour academy will include elite skill development, skill to tactic progression, off-ice sessions and on-ice games for player progression & learning:
- 40 Hours - Clinics will focus on all facets of the player development ladder including:
- Skating including stride, turning, recovery rates, edge control, agility & conditioning.
- Skating work will naturally progress into skills like puck control, handling, basic & advanced moves, player deception, recognition, passing & shooting.
- These skills will then be incorporated into player tactics and move to age specific flow drills that incorporate and builds on the tactics.
- Drills and tactics will be player driven and include position specific work as well.
- 40 Hours - Clinics will focus on all facets of the player development ladder including:
- 15 Games - This will be where we transfer player skill development & tactics into game execution and Hockey IQ
- Full ice games where players will receive instruction & developmental feedback in the course of the game(s).
- Modified games like 3on3 & 4on4 where players get more ice time and space can be limited to enhance and promote recognition and tactical play.
- Off-Ice sessions will be focused on the following:
- Classroom Learning – “How to Play the Game Today for Tomorrow”
- Hockey Talk – “The Panel”- A live interactive conversation where the kids listen & participate.
- Agility, Stability & Strength Matters- A view into the Importance of off-ice training
- Nutrition Matters – “How to Fuel the Body"
- Players will develop and improve dramatically, as this Academy will include players of like ability who will receive “Best in Class” instruction & guidance. What an “Opportunity to Train with the Best”.
- You will visibly see these players improve, develop & build confidence which translates into an “improved & passionate player”.
- The cost for the Program is payable in 3 convenient installments:
- #1 - $500 due Oct 3rd, #2 - $500 due Nov 15th , #3 - $250 due Jan 1st
